Gold in the Hills - the longest running melodrama in the world, as listed in the Guinness Book of World Records, will be returning again to The Vicksburg in 2009!  Gold in the Hills has played in Vicksburg since 1936. Set in the 1890s, it features a relentless hero, a winsome heroine, a ruthless villain, and the wilder side of city life in the infamous New York Bowery. Check the Vicksburg Theatre Guild's 2009 Season and check back here for more information on special downtown performances at The Vicksburg where the intimate atmosphere in The Coral Room is reminiscent of the days on the Sprague.
